Terms & Conditions

REFUNDS

All withdrawal requests MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING within 14 days after the first day of the session to the Director of Operations before the will be given after this point. Students or parents requesting withdrawals before that time will be charged pro-rated tuition for completed sessions (including student absences) plus 20% of the total remaining tuition balance. Students withdrawing before the start of the session will be charged 10% of the initial tuition balance. Registration and installment fees are non-refundable. Refunds take 6–8 weeks to be processed.

PAYMENT / ADMINISTRATIVE FEES

All new students will be charged a $25 “new student” fee upon first payment. MasterCard and Visa payments are accepted. The school reserves the right to dismiss any students who does not comply with its payment policies. A student, who fails to pay the tuition on the posted due date, WILL BE DENIED ACCESS to his/her class. This WILL be counted as a missed lesson and IS NOT applicable to the make-up policy.

COURSE CANCELLATION

Twin Cities Music School reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment. If a class is cancelled, you will receive a prorated refund for the remaining sessions. Registration and installment fees (if any) will also be refunded to students not enrolled in other lessons or classes. Students are required to give 24 hours notice prior to their lesson for cancellations.

SNOW DAYS

Twin Cities Music School bases its school cancellations on the Minneapolis Public school system; therefore, if Minneapolis public schools close due to inclement weather, TCMS may also close. Any classes or lessons canceled by TCMS will be made up during the scheduled make-up week at the end of the session.

PERSONAL PROPERTY/ LOST & FOUND

TCMS is not responsible for personal property lost or damaged on our premises. A Lost & Found collection area is maintained and if a student believes that property has been lost on the premises they should contact the registration staff. Items remaining in the Lost & Found for more than one month will be discarded.

SOCIAL MEDIA / WEBSITE

TCMS has permission to capture, record, and post my and/or my child’s story, photographs, videos, audio recordings, or other items, hereinafter referred to as “Materials,” I submit to and for Twin Cities Music School’s Website, Twitter account, YouTube account, and Facebook account.

TCMS is released, our representative, employees, managers, members, officers, parent companies, subsidiaries, and directors, from all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with any use of said “Materials”, including, without limitation, all claims for invasion of privacy, infringement of my right of publicity, defamation and any other personal and/or property rights. It is acknowledged and agreed that no sums whatsoever will be due to me as a result of the use and/or exploitation of the “Materials” or any rights therein.

It is acknowledged that my child is under 18 years old and lacks the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. Accordingly, this Release and consent to my child’s inclusion in the Materials will not contest the rights granted in this Release, and shall assist and support you in any and all legal proceeding for affirmation of this Agreement, should you choose to have a court of law affirm this Agreement.
